Glasgow is the nearest airport (90 miles) and is about 2 hours and thirty minutes' drive time (in reasonable traffic) from Oban. A number of airlines fly to Glasgow from a variety of destinations. To find out more simply click here.

Train

High speed trains from around the UK will take you to Glasgow Central Station, including the Caledonian Sleeper which operates every night (except Saturday) between London and Glasgow and arrives around 7am. The train from Glasgow Queen Street (an easy bus ride from Glasgow airport) to Oban travels through some of Scotland's most dramatic scenery. The 3 hour journey takes you direct to the ferry terminal. Generally the cheaper fares on all these services are available from about 12 weeks in advance.
